2006 Australian Wine Companion

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep red with purple tints

Nose: Spicy ground pepper, blackcurrant and violet aromas are matched by subtle spicy oak

Palate: A very complex palate with red berries flavours and fine, silky tannins

Style: Full bodied wine matured for 12 months in 50% French and 50% American oak barriques

Serve with: Red meat, smoked or gamey meats and strong cheeses

Best drinking: Now until 2012

Rich and spicy, with good palate weight and varietal character. The supple tannins encourage drinking, but this wine should continue to develop well. Highly Recommended
